Motorized Wardrobe Lifts & Automated Closet Systems

Tono motorized wardrobe lifts turn any tall wardrobe into an automated
closet system. A motorized pull-down rail lowers your hanging line to
arm level at the touch of a button, then returns it to the top of the
wardrobe when done. Built for smart-home integration and specified into
luxury residential, hospitality, and premium modular furniture projects
across India, the UK, USA, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

Available in 110V and 230V. Three-year warranty on motor and mechanism.
Global shipping and dealer support.

The Range

Three motorized wardrobe systems built for different automation needs.
All three integrate with major smart-home platforms and ship worldwide.

  • Load capacity: up to 50 kg
  • Integrated LED lighting
  • Automatic safety stop on obstruction
  • Remote and smart-home control

What Is a Motorized Wardrobe Lift?

A motorized wardrobe lift is a powered mechanism installed inside a
tall wardrobe that lowers the hanging rail to a usable height on demand.
It converts unreachable upper storage — the top 60 to 100 centimetres
of a full-height wardrobe — into fully accessible space. In an
automated closet system, the same principle applies to mirrors,
dressing surfaces, and accessory drawers.

The result: taller wardrobes can be specified without sacrificing
accessibility, doubling effective hanging capacity in the same footprint.

Where Automated Closet Systems Are Specified

Luxury Residential

Walk-in wardrobes and master closets in premium homes across the UAE,
UK, USA, and India. Integrates with Crestron, Control4, and Savant
residential systems.

Hospitality

Hotel suites, serviced apartments, and premium villa rentals where
storage capacity per square metre determines revenue per key.

Premium Modular Furniture

Modular wardrobe brands and interior designers specifying automated
closet systems as a differentiating feature in high-end projects.

Universal & Accessible Design

Aging-in-place residences, wheelchair-accessible units, and universal
design projects where reaching high storage is not viable.

Compact Urban Apartments

Small-footprint city apartments where vertical space must be maximized
to compensate for limited floor area.

How the Pull-Down Mechanism Works

A motorized wardrobe lift consists of three components: a motor, a vertical
guide track, and a pull-down rail. When activated, the motor lowers the
rail smoothly along the guide track to a preset stop height — typically
at chest level. When done, one touch returns the rail to its stowed
position at the top of the wardrobe.

The mechanism is self-braking, silent enough for bedroom installations,
and includes an automatic safety stop that halts the motor if the rail
encounters resistance.

Smart-Home Integration

All Tono wardrobe lift systems support dry-contact triggers for
integration with major residential control platforms:

  • Crestron
  • Control4
  • Savant
  • KNX
  • Lutron (via relay module)
  • Apple HomeKit and Google Home (via bridge)

Voice control, scheduled operation, and app-based triggers are all
supported through the connected system. For custom integrations, contact
our engineering team.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a motorized wardrobe lift?

A motorized wardrobe lift is a powered pull-down rail installed inside
a tall wardrobe. At the press of a button or via a smart-home control,
the rail lowers the hanging line to arm level, then returns it to the
top of the wardrobe when done. It converts unreachable upper storage
into fully accessible space.

How is an automated closet system different from a regular wardrobe?

A regular wardrobe uses fixed rails only accessible up to about
1.8 metres. An automated closet system uses a motorized lift to bring
the full rail to a usable height on demand, doubling or tripling
effective hanging capacity in the same footprint.

What is the load capacity of the CH Series?

The Tono CH Series motorized clothes hanger supports up to 50 kg
of hanging weight, with an automatic safety stop if an obstruction
is detected.

Can a motorized wardrobe lift be integrated with a smart home system?

Yes. Tono wardrobe lifts support dry-contact triggers compatible with
Crestron, Control4, KNX, Savant, Lutron, and other major smart-home
platforms. Voice control, scheduled operation, and app-based triggers
are supported through the connected system.

Can it be retrofitted into an existing wardrobe?

Often, yes. Fit depends on the wardrobe’s internal dimensions
accommodating the lift’s footprint and stowed height. Send us your
interior dimensions and we will confirm compatibility before you order.

Is it noisy?

No. All Tono wardrobe systems use low-decibel motors — quieter than
a refrigerator compressor — suitable for bedroom and dressing-room use.

What power supply is required?

Tono wardrobe lifts are available in 110V (USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan)
and 230V (India, UK, EU, Middle East, Australia, Asia). Custom voltages
can be configured for specific projects.

Does Tono ship internationally?

Yes. Tono ships wardrobe lifts to the USA, UK, EU, Middle East,
Australia, and across Asia. Lead times vary by region — typically 3-6
weeks for international orders. Contact us for regional pricing.

What is the warranty?

Three-year warranty on the motor and mechanism. Extended warranty
available for commercial and hospitality installations.
