Description

Tono RTX 10 — Android PoE Wall Tablet with 10.1″ Touchscreen

The Tono RTX 10 is a 10.1-inch Android 14 PoE+ wall tablet built for fixed-install automation in smart homes, hotels, boardrooms, and luxury residences. One Ethernet cable carries power and data. The open Android platform runs any control app — KNX, Crestron, Home Assistant, custom integrator dashboards, or BMS interfaces.

Why the RTX 10 replaces consumer tablets on the wall

Consumer tablets are designed for personal, mobile use. They sleep, throttle, degrade their batteries, and rely on adapters that ruin clean installs. The RTX 10 is designed as infrastructure — always powered, always connected, always responsive. No batteries to fail. No power bricks to hide. No daily reboots from thermal stress.

For integrators, that translates to fewer call-backs and stable long-term deployments.

What integrators install it for

Smart homes and luxury villas

Centralized control of lighting scenes, climate, motorized shading, multi-room audio, home theatre, CCTV, and security. One panel per zone replaces 4–6 individual keypads.

Hotels and hospitality

Guest room control surfaces, suite master panels, conference room scheduling, and do-not-disturb integration. PoE+ simplifies retrofit projects without rewiring power.

Corporate and boardrooms

AV control front-ends for Crestron, Extron, or QSC backends. Conference room booking displays. BMS dashboards for facilities teams.

Custom integrator builds

Open Android means you can deploy any APK — your own UI, a customer’s automation platform, or a kiosk-mode dashboard locked to a single app.

Compatible with the platforms you already specify

The RTX 10 is automation-agnostic. Confirmed compatibility with:

  • KNX dashboard apps (via third-party Android visualizers)
  • Home Assistant (native Android app, kiosk mode supported)
  • Crestron Home and Crestron XiO Cloud (via UI hosting)
  • Control4 (via web UI in kiosk mode)
  • Loxone, Fibaro, openHAB
  • BMS platforms with Android or web front-ends
  • Custom APKs and OEM control software

If you build on Android, RTX 10 runs it.

Installation overview

A single Cat 6 Ethernet cable from a PoE+ switch (802.3at, 30 W per port) handles both power and network. The recessed back box is sized for standard drywall and brick installations. No mains wiring required at the panel location — which makes RTX 10 viable for retrofit projects where running 230 V to wall positions would be cost-prohibitive.

For installations beyond 100 m from the switch, use a PoE extender or in-line injector.

Frequently asked questions

What PoE standard does the Tono RTX 10 require?

PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at), which provides up to 30 W per port. Standard 802.3af (15.4 W) is not sufficient for stable 24/7 operation at full brightness.

Can the RTX 10 run Home Assistant or Crestron dashboards?

Yes. Any Android-compatible automation app or web-based control UI runs on the RTX 10. Kiosk mode locks the device to a single app for end-user simplicity.

What screen sizes are available?

The RTX 10 ships in 10.1 inches. For 7-inch or 13-inch variants, contact our integrator team about the wider Tono control panel range.

Does the RTX 10 support Wi-Fi as a backup to LAN?

Yes — dual-band Wi-Fi 5 is built in. Wired Gigabit Ethernet is recommended for production deployments; Wi-Fi serves as fallback or as the primary connection in retrofit installs.

How is the Tono RTX 10 mounted?

Flush in-wall recessed mount using the supplied back box. VESA mounting is optionally available for surface installations. Mounting height is integrator-specified.

Is the device customizable for OEM or large-volume deployments?

Yes. Tono offers OEM customization including custom boot logos, pre-installed software images, factory provisioning, and bezel/finish options for orders above a minimum quantity. Contact our distribution team.

What is the warranty?

1-year manufacturer warranty with online support. Extended warranty is available for hospitality and large-scale commercial deployments.

Integrator and developer support

Tono ships the RTX 10 with full documentation for system integrators: API references for hardware functions, sample code for kiosk deployment, factory reset and provisioning guides, and PoE wiring diagrams. Spec sheets, CAD files, and back-box dimensions are available on request.
